Wanted Slovak Stefan Agh: The police caught him in Prague
Detain Agha according to police he helped a citizen who traveled with him on the train. Slovak criminal investigators immediately asked for the help of their Czech colleague, who, however, could not detain the man at first, because he was not issued an arrest warrant. The competent court subsequently issued a European arrest warrant and Agh was detained, the Czech institutions will decide on his extradition in Slovakia.
Agh was found guilty from the share of counterfeiting bills of exchange, which according to the prosecutor’s office did not sign in 2000, as stated on them, but only after 2013, when he was no longer the director or co-owner of Marquis. Russia issued the bills as a natural person and at the same time signed them for the Marquis, who was to become the guarantor. Whereas the the ex-minister of the economy, as the main debtor of the bills of exchange, now appears in public as poor, the obligation to repay the bills would remain with the Marquis. However, the bills were never included in the accounts of Marquis from the Central European Media Enterprises group, which has since been controlled by the PPF investment group.
One of Kočner’s companies, which also faces charges, also demands the payment of bills from Markízy from ordering the murder of journalist Ján Kuciak. According to available information, some of the bills were issued in favor of Kočner’s former partner Agha.

The indictment against Agh was heard in a separate trial, in which the court of first instance issued a verdict last autumn. According to police, the court’s ruling last week disobeyed a subsequent call to go to jail.
