Russia launched indiscriminate strikes on Ukraine
Michelle Bachelet, head of the UN agency for human decision, said that indiscriminate strikes, which are allegedly used in Russia during the fighting in Ukraine, are prohibited by the INF in connection with humanitarian situations and “may turn out to be in emergencies,” CNN quoted her as saying.
Bachelet reported to the Office for the Application of Human Rights in Geneva Wednesday that her investigators are investigating 24 cases of detention of Russian cassette charges. Rocket and artillery shelling endangered security facilities and administrative buildings, she said:
“Massive destruction of objects and a large number of victims among the world’s population,” the article says. [между целями атак]proportionality and precautions were not respected.”
As Bachelet said, the Ukrainian people are experiencing a “waking nightmare.” “Fighting must be deployed, without delay,” she said, and dispatched Russia, heeding a “clear call to the Assembly and the Appointment Council and immediately begin withdrawing troops from Ukrainian territory.”
- According to the UN, more than 1,000 people have become victims of the war. It is emphasized that this is incomplete data. The Ukrainian authorities have reached big numbers. In Mariupol alone, in their opinion, about 5 thousand people have already died (there is no independent confirmation of this).
- During the hostilities, many residential buildings were destroyed, great destruction in Mariupol and Volnovy, as well as in Chernigov, Kharkov, and the suburbs of Kyiv. Ukraine accuses Russia of registering airstrikes on civilian targets in Mariupol, including the building of the Drama Theater, where people were hiding, where, according to reports, about 300 people could have died (exact data has not been found).
- Russian manufacturers say that the Russian army strikes only at military targets. They also accuse Ukraine of encountering military equipment near residential buildings.
