Russia announced the expulsion of three Slovak diplomats
Today, the Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement that Moscow responded to the expulsion in March of three employees of the Russian embassy in the Slovak Republic with an equivalent measure: the Russian Foreign Ministry declared three employees of the Slovak embassy in the Russian Federation persona non grata. As follows from official statements, today the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the Russian Federation, Lubomir Regak, was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry, where he was informed that Moscow had declared three diplomats of the Slovak Embassy in the Russian Federation persona non grata. The Russian Foreign Ministry called this measure our country’s response to the expulsion from Slovakia in March of three employees of the Russian embassy.
Three representatives of the Slovak embassy in the Russian Federation are required to leave our country within 72 hours.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, assessed, established, increased in its authority, that “the main Slovak diplomatic mission was also declared as a strong protest in connection with the situations imposed by the work protocols”
The Russian department also said that the Slovak ambassador was “strictly pointed out the inadmissibility of cases of vandalism in relation to memorials and burials of Soviet soldiers in Slovakia”, as indicated by the Russian Foreign Ministry, have become more frequent recently.
