the mayor of the 6th calls for the cancellation of the March minutes
On March 1, the City of Lyon suddenly decided to change the electronic payment operator for on-street parking.
The Pay by Phone solution was extended by the Flowbird application, a new operator which was to allow the purchase of tickets after confirmation of the parking zone and choice of duration.
Except that this change did not happen smoothly. The mayor of the 6th arrondissement of Lyon Pascal Blache denounces this Thursday evening a candidacy which “multiplies the bugs: impossibility of being geolocated, impossibility of having your bank account recognized, impossibility of having your resident status recognized”.
According to the elected LR, “thousands of users have therefore been fined for non-payment of their parking. The minutes have started to arrive in mailboxes two days ago and the weeks to come could still hold many surprises”.
Pascal Blache also regrets a transition “in catimini” who a “surprised most users, uninformed or uninformed”. According to him, these “are the victims of a decision taken in a hurry, without consultation, without verification, almost without public communication and without notifying local elected officials once again”.
The mayor of the 6th, candidate for the future legislative elections, therefore appeals to Mayor Grégory Doucet to obtain answers to then give to the verbalized inhabitants. “What should the Lyonnais do? Pay? Contest?”asks Pascal Blache.
“Personally, I think that all parking tickets dressed since the beginning of March must be purely and simply canceled“, concluding the elected opposition.
Will the environmental town hall agree to sit on this jackpot reported by the parking lot?
