Ukraine requires DJI to survey residents of Russia and publicly available all drones that were not purchased or registered in the country
Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov officially from the Chinese manufacturer of unmanned aerial vehicles DJI stopped among the members of Russia.
In particular, the deputy prime minister says that Russia uses DJI production for its own missiles. Fedorov raised concerns about DJI’s AeroScope software, which can detect drones. Russia is said to be using it to detect Ukrainian DJI drones up to 50km away.
Chinese companies such as DJI will face the backlash and sanctions from the US and Europe that are common in Ukraine. The letter in the vice premier to DJI CEO Frank Wang accepted requirements for DJI under the safety terms of drones that were not purchased or registered in the country. In addition, Ukraine requires additional information from DJI on all DJI drones in the country.
There is also unconfirmed information that DJI may have already taken some actions that prevent Ukrainians from using drones, amid a volume of reports of technical problems in the country.
