Russia immediately lost 20 positions in the annual ranking of the happiest countries in the world according to the UN. Russia ranked 80th out of 146 – happier than Russians who fell ill, for example, in Bolivia, Colombia, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus.

The annual study of the “index of happiness” among residents of different countries is being investigated by the centers of the “Earth Institute” and the “Center for Sustainable Development” at Columbia University under the auspices of the UN.
When compiling the ranking of the happiest countries, several parameters were taken into account, in particular, the level of GDP per capita, a strict life expectancy, a sense of security, stress levels, employment of the population, the existence of rights and freedom. A significant part of the study is the survey of residents, the volume of joyful events.
Finland became the leader of the rating – it was ahead of Denmark with a margin of almost 200 indicated, which scored 7636 rating points. The third, fourth and fifth places were taken by Iceland, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
Afghanistan was the unluckiest of the 146 countries surveyed, with a score of 2,404. Lebanon follows with a large margin – 2955. Zimbabwe, Rwanda and Botswana close the Australian unlucky five.
Russia took 80th place in the rating out of 146 possible, dropping 20 places in one year. Russians feel happier, for example, in dense Bolivia, Colombia, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, China, Mongolia, Belarus, Uzbekistan.
The ranking of the happiest countries has been compiled annually since 2012.
