Márki-Zay: Hungary can return to the good side of history
The commemoration of the opposition alliance on March 15 on the quay of the Budapest University of Technology has begun.
The participants marched from the Szabadság Bridge to the venue, where according to the organizers, Pastor Gábor Iványi, Anna Donáth, Mayor of Momentum, Co-Chair of the Dialogue, Péter Jakab, President of Jobbik, Erzsébet Schmuck, will give a speech. Bertalan Tóth, co-chair of the MSZP, Klára Dobrev, Member of the European Parliament for the Democratic Republic of South Africa, Donald Tusk, Polish President of the European People’s Party and Péter Márki-Zay, joint prime ministerial candidate of six opposition parties.
At the beginning of the event, the crowd reached a little beyond Bertalan Lajos Street from the stage set up at the Szent Gellért Square building of the Technical University. In addition to national and Ukrainian flags, the participants held party flags from DK, Jobbik, MSZP and Momentum, among others.
“We demand the Parliament, which ensures the real representation of the Hungarians, the restoration of the rule of law!” – the mayor explained the third item of point 12 of the opposition, then said: “Hungary still has a government for 3 weeks that puts the private interest ahead of the public interest, makes private money out of public money and does not protect citizens from power, but vice versa. The Parliament does not have a president of the government, at most a housekeeper, the chief prosecutor does not nurture, but advocates for sin, and treats local governments not as an alliance but as an enemy, he said, then stated: “They want to break our spine from vertebra to vertebra.” According to him, they want to break the dignity and independence of the Hungarians, but they are here and the rule of law must be rebuilt “from brick to brick”, but first the money taps must be closed and hit in the hands. Reiterating his previous motto, he remarked that power would be returned to the people: the people of power would be replaced by the power of the people. Christmas also described item 4 of the opposition scorecard, which states that equality before the law applies regardless of age, gender, religion, or sexual orientation. And in that spirit, to disrupt politics from the bedrooms, and politics must be built on humanity after 12 years of inhumanity.
According to Peter James, what is happening here is nothing but the wild east
According to the Jobbikos politician, the country has always developed when it has been led by those who have been able to make sacrifices for it.
According to him, there are also young people in March among Hungarians, such as law enforcement officers, teachers, retirees and health care workers. According to James, this country is capable of miracles. We can be united and diverse at the same time. It was enough to steal and lie. Is Putin or Europe? War or peace? East or West? That’s the question, choose! Said the president of Jobbik.
Erzsébet Schmuck, co-chair of the LMP, followed her speech by reading out the element of the opposition government’s 12 points aimed at ending the change of lordship. The politician demanded that EU money not be given to large-scale oligarchs but to farmers. This is realized by the agricultural policy of Péter Márki-Zay. He says he needs to be able to supply the country, and that’s the message of the epidemic and climate change.
Bertalan Tóth: Orbánék’s house is better protected than the country, so a war drone could fly through the country
In his solemn address, the President of the MSZP called on the National Bank to fight against price increases instead of increasing private wealth. As he said, our money is getting less and less because Fidesz has been consciously weakening the forint for 12 years because of its own profits, and if we had the euro, they would not be able to do so. According to György Matolcsy, he puts hundreds of millions in his pockets, from which Fidesz foundations, stromans and relatives also benefit. Tóth also referred to the war situation: as he said, the prime minister’s house and land are better protected than the country, so it is possible that the war drone that flew over Hungary could not be noticed. In addition to the wage increase and prices, the co-leader of the Socialist Party also promised a better army, because the Orbans could not defend the country – although fortunately we are not alone as a NATO member.
“Free country, free university,” said Klára Dobrev, MEP from DK.
An oppressive power wants to deprive us of knowledge because we will only be free if we have access to all the information, Klára Dobrev said.
The Hungarian euro was mentioned as the 12th point by the SE politician. According to Dobrev, the euro protects savings, the devaluation of money, and with the euro we are committed to a camp where “fair” politics takes place. He emphasized that we needed a strong Europe.
Donald Tusk: the election on April 3 is important not only for Hungarians, but also for the whole of Europe and the Ukrainian people
In a speech in Polish, the President of the European People’s Party recalled that the two nations were together in 1956 and at the birth of the Solidarity Movement in 1980, as well as in 1989, the year of regime change. He reminded that a day earlier it was the birthday of the Polish general of the Hungarian War of Independence, József Bem, who, if he lived today, would not attend the other Budapest venue (ie the right-wing Peace Process) but the Hungarian opposition assembly.
As he said, the Ukrainians are now fighting not only for their own freedom, but also for the freedom of Poland and Hungary, and even of Europe as a whole. No honest person can doubt which side to take in this fight, so the election on April 3 is important not only for Hungarians, but also for Europe and the Ukrainian people, he stressed. According to Tusk, the best pro-Putin image in Europe of Viktor Orbán and Fidesz has been developed, and the vision of the Russian president will be shared in Budapest today. The image of censorship, authoritarianism and a corrupt state belongs to a state that preaches a cult of power, the president of the People’s Party said. Reviving Poland, Hungary, a democratic, free world, a united Europe and an independent Ukrainian state, Tusk said in farewell: “Go to the ballot box, I wish you good luck!”
Márki-Zay: Hungary can return to the good side of history
Péter Márki-Zay put it on the quay of the Technical University in connection with the parliamentary election: “we believe that the power belongs to the people, that David defeats Goliath. We believe that on April 3, Hungary will return to the good side of history, Hungary will finally be a winner, that we will be a nation again, that we will be a nation again, that we can once again be proud to say wherever we go in the world that I am Hungarian ”.
He asked the opposition sympathizers to win three more people and then replace “the most corrupt government in Hungary’s history” by two-thirds. He noted that he believes in miracles and is not broken by opinion polls because he is the politician who has never won a poll but has not lost a single election.
According to Péter Márki-Zay, Hungary is no longer a people to the world, but a single face, as “a man has appropriated us”. For this reason, Hungarians are judged for their faces, for a man who turns here and there to “play his little styles” on the political stage of the world, who is responsible for the fact that by 1848 more and more people are ashamed of being Hungarians.
In the April election, we must vote to “be a people” again and not “outsiders in our own country,” he stressed.
He called it unacceptable that a person wants to say what we are like, who and how we love what we think.
Péter Márki-Zay also called it unacceptable that “33 years after the victorious change of regime, we became losers in our own country again”. This time, we chose the lagging East over the developing West, slavery over freedom, and hatred over love because of the selfishness and desire for power of our own leader. We voluntarily went back to the side of bad history, ”he said.
According to him, the choice has never been so easy: Europe must be chosen as opposed to the East.
He also mentioned that the opposition is strong because it is diverse. He says what the opposition has built with four years of hard work, parties and civilians to offer a more peaceful and secure country for those who do not vote.
The prime minister-designate believed in a loving and caring, just and secure Hungary, reaffirmed his commitment to the Euro-Atlantic area and highlighted several election promises by opposition parties.
