a new jersey very inspired by Lyon
On the sidelines of the start of the new NWSL season, OL Reign unveiled their new jersey with a central red and blue stripe reminiscent of that of Olympique Lyonnais.
The OL key continues to print more and more within theOL reign. Two years after being bought out, the American club is still steeped in Lyon’s history. After the lion on the crest and the coming on loan of certain players like Eugénie Le Sommer, Dzenifer Marozan and Sarah BouhaddiOL Reign now adopts OL colors on the new tunic.
With the 2022-2023 North American Women’s Championship (NWSL) season approaching, the club has unveiled an “Honor” jersey for next season which is reminiscent of the one worn by Alexandre Lacazette et al during the 2016-2017 season. The American franchise now integrates the famous red and blue vertical stripe into its secondary tunic for the 2022-2023 season as unveiled Megan RapinoeMonday evening.
This second shirt should serve to pay tribute to all the players who have represented the club over the past decade, according to the club’s press release. A way to remember the past in Seattle, while looking to the future with the takeover of theOlympique Lyonnais and the creation of OL Reign.
