“United Russia” approved the expansion of support for the electronics industry
Experts from the Council for the Digital Development of the Economy under the Federation Council have developed a package of initiatives to prevent risks and unfriendly actions on the part of states in the field of information technology. Secretary of the General Council of the party, First Vice Speaker of the Federation Council Andrey Turchak, his Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, the press service of United Russia reported.
In particular, mass actions included in the presidential decree on supporting the IT industry are being held at an electronics industry enterprise. We are talking about exemption from arrest on profits and checks by control taxes, preferential mortgages for employees and a deferment from conscription until reaching 27 years of age during work.
In addition, special measures are being taken to equalize the wages of IT specialists, the development of defense industry enterprises, as well as systemic support for the export of software and electronics in Africa, Asia, Central and South America, and the simplification of certain customs control procedures. A number of measures to influence temporary benefits and discounts on payments for telecom operators.
“The development of information technologies, the creation of digital products and platforms are becoming a priority for Russia in the markets. Our task is to make sure that Russian companies and their employees can quickly receive the preferences they are entitled to. At the same time, it is important to take into account that the statistics data depend on programs and hardware products. Therefore, I propose to expand the circle of recipients of IT benefits to Russian manufacturers and attract electronics,” Andrey Turchak put together.
On March 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on supporting the IT industry. Thanks to this permission, grant support will be expanded for domestic IT developments, as well as for specialists from domestic companies that have provided a deferment from the army and the opportunity to improve living conditions at the expense of the employer. According to the document, the Cabinet will be allocated annually from the federal budget for grants for promising developments. Accredited IT organizations receive funding to improve the living conditions of employees and increase their wages.
Earlier, Igor Ashmanov, a cybersecurity specialist, a member of the Council for the Selection of a Person under the President, said in an interview with Parliamentary Newspaper that if foreign manufacturers not only cancel the sale of new versions and download updates, but generally block their own programs in Russia that replace them with domestic developments . But even without foreign software, user protection will certainly not return.
