The students of IUT Lyon 1 will not finally be obliged to wear the mask
While the end of the mask comes into force this Monday, March 14, the management of IUT Lyon 1 had announced the obligation to wear a mask for students.
The management of IUT Lyon 1 is backtracking. After announcing the obligation of the mask for students in an email on March 11, the management finally complies with government announcements. The mask is no longer compulsory in certain places including IUTs from this Monday, March 14.
“Even if wearing a mask no longer seems compulsory in many places in France, the health protocol of the University Lyon 1 does not change for the moment. Therefore and until further notice, wearing a mask remains compulsory on the premises of IUT Lyon 1. announced the Lyon establishment in an email sent to around 1,000 students.
New email, new health instructions : “Wearing a mask is no longer compulsory and is now an individual decision which depends on one’s own fragility and the risks affecting the people around him”. At the start of the afternoon, the establishment finally updated its instructions for students and teachers.
The university presidency also indicates that the protocol for exams and competitions will soon be updated to take into account the end of the wearing of the compulsory mask.
