Russia may plan operations with chemicals
Russia may be planning an operation on the territory of Ukraine to use chemical weapons. About it declared NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in an interview with the German newspaper Welt am Sonntag.
According to Stoltenberg, the Kremlin specifically reports on Ukrainian biological weapons laboratories in order to defend the wrongdoing.
“Now that these false assessments have occurred, we must be vigilant, because it is quite possible that Russia itself can plan operations with chemical conditions using these fabricated lies,” said the NATO Secretary General.
If Russia really carried out a chemical attack, then it would be a war crime, especially Stoltenberg.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported that Ukraine near the Russian borders was developing biological weapons components in biological laboratories. “From employees of Ukrainian biological laboratories, documentation was received about an emergency infection on February 24, especially dangerous pathogens – the causative agents of plague, anthrax, tularemia, cholera and other deadly diseases,” the agency said in a comment.
Meanwhile, according to the Ukrainian version of Forbes magazine, the cost of equipment lost by the Russian army in the war with Ukraine is already more than five billion dollars. The General Staff of Ukraine has reported several times that since the beginning of the war, dozens of Russian aircraft and helicopters, hundreds of tanks and more than a million infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers have been destroyed. Under the conditions of decisive action, all these figures cannot be confirmed and are not confirmed by him.
On February 27, the Russian Defense Ministry recognized the Su-25 attack aircraft. There was no other data on technical losses from the Russian side. Ukraine does not report its private losses.
According to the General Staff of Ukraine as of March 12, the losses of the Russian army during the invasion amounted, presumably, to more than 12 thousand people. American intelligence agencies receive reports of 2,000 to 4,000 killed Russian soldiers. The Russian Ministry of Defense provides lower figures.
Kyiv does not disclose data on losses among military personnel. According to the President of the Ukrainian media, Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, in a conversation with foreign journalists, said that during the fighting since February 24, about 1,300 soldiers.
