According to Match TV, the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) is discussing the option of creating its own analog series of the international Grand Prix with the participation of several countries. If the tournament is held, it could take place as early as next season.
According to one of the sources, the FFKKR is considering the possibility of participation in the tournaments of representatives of countries, including China and Uzbekistan. Georgia can also act as one of the participants.
At the same time, according to another interlocutor, the public initiative may face criticism from the Skater Conflict (SIC). According to the rules of the organization, all fees must be registered. In the event that a potential new tournament is agreed with the ISU, its creators and participants will not be affected by any sanctions. However, if it is carried out in circumvention of the rules, legal problems may arise for the side of all legal entities.
The need for new instances of a situation arising after the ISU removed Russian skaters from arising under its auspices due to approximately at the level of the situation. In the future, Russian athletes will not become candidates for the adult and junior world championships.
