Huttopia to be new campsite on Left Bank | Antwerp
AntwerpThe City of Antwerp will develop a new city campsite on the Left Bank in Middenvijver Park. The operator has now been chosen: the French camping group Huttopia will realize CityKamp Antwerp there and is designed to open in the summer of 2024.
Antwerp has two camping areas: CityCamping Antwerp (formerly De Molen) and the Vogelzang campervan area, but these will disappear in the long run. The city is developing a new city camping site in the eastern corner of Middenvijver, on an area of approximately 5 hectares, near Halewijnlaan and Willem Gijsselsstraat on the Left Bank. It will be Huttopia’s first CityKamp in Belgium.

Philippe Bossanne, the founder of Huttopia, is very much looking forward to the collaboration: “We are very proud that Antwerp has chosen Huttopia to build this CityKamp, which is ideally located in the heart of a nature reserve and close to the city center. This seventh CityKamp will be exceptional. For Hutopia, Antwerp is a very important step in the development of its natural urban camping network in major European cities.”
