TH! S performed unadulterated rock ‘n’ roll at Rock Café. Instead of a single, they christened the godfather
The band TH! S woke up after a two-year hibernation during the concert “ZablouTHIS do Rock Café?” christened the new single “One More Day”. The godfather was its producer Thom Fröde (Walmanz, Imodium), who also played with the main stars of the evening. There were also several cover versions.

March 9 was probably the most requested date when it comes to musical performances in Prague. There were about five other events that took place that evening, including a concert for Ukraine. Rock Café hosted one of the smaller ones. Despite this fact, there were quite a few people – they were obviously curious how the group around Vojta Kotka and Honza Melíšek played after the forced break caused by the pandemic. Whoever wanted to see the front band was unlucky. Covid again held office. This fact froze me because I was looking forward to them. Bad luck is sticking to their heels – they released their debut EP just when the covid started. They then had to baptize it virtually (physical baptism took place a year and a half later), but as the measure did not play, there were not many opportunities to show off to the public.

As a result, TH! S started playing earlier, satisfying the fans, who learned this information on the spot. They played songs from two EPs released so far and added a series of covers, including the well-known radio band “Little Talks” by Of Monsters And Men, “Baba O’Riley” by The Who or the notorious “Best of You” by Foo Fighters, in which he helped with vocals guitar Thom Fröde. He fit in well with this party, and even sat down to them aloud – Honz’s charismatic speech thickened even more. The latter took on the role of the godfather of the single “One More Day”, after all, he produced it himself. This is accompanied by a funny story, when years ago, slightly wrapped, he intervened on the stage at Rock For People, where TH! S was playing. He later learned about what happened from the photos. This stabbed him so much that he invited the band to cooperate. Word got out, and according to its members, he squeezed the best out of it. Since the single was released only digitally and not on physical media, there was nothing to baptize. And so the group unexpectedly poured godfather Jack. It wasn’t much to taste, which the frontman commented: “You chose rock’n’roll, so don’t moan.” And everyone who chose rock ‘n’ roll that evening was definitely satisfied.
