It is becoming increasingly clear how the circular economy is based on economies, the Minister of Innovation and Technology said at the University of Pannonia in Veszprém on Friday, where the Circular Economy Technology Platform was established. The city of Debrecen is also a founding member of the platform.
László Palkovics pointed out that in the recent period the automotive industry has been hampered by the lack of various raw materials, and the energy situation has been complicated by the Russian-Ukrainian war. Therefore, any solution that can improve the energy problem is needed – the head of the ministry made a mistake at the inaugural ceremony of the ninth technology platform.
Péter Ovádi, the parliamentary representative of the region’s pro-government parliament, expressed his pride that Veszprém could be a university city. The University of Pannonia is a knowledge center that provides the economy of the region.
Tibor Navracsics, the government commissioner responsible for the complex development of the North-West Hungary Economic Development Zone, the Fidesz candidate for constituency No. 3 in Veszprém County, emphasized that the North Transdanubia region, the European Capital of Culture program and the Pannonian University are also interested in the platform’s success.
