The European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) suspends the status of Russia as an observer country in the organization. This is reported RIA News” with reference to the CERN statement.
The 23 CERN member states “condemn the military intervention of the Russian Federation in Ukraine and deplore the approach of people and the humanitarian consequences.”
It also suspends cooperation with public institutions.
Formerly Shell announcedthat intends to seek to purchase Russian oil and gas. The company will also close its filling stations in Russia.
Shell will also stop all spot purchases of Russian crude oil, purchase its filling stations and the production of aviation fuel and lubricants in Russia.
Shell’s CEO Ben van Beurden said the company’s procurement action is in agreement with exports amid discussions about the need to save energy resources in Europe while refusing to export European goods.
