Prague helps refugees with pride, we have financial reserves to us
How will the Ukrainian wolf affect the finances of the capital?
There will be an influence and I think it comes from two directions. This will be one of the costs that we will expect in connection with the refugee crisis. Since then, Prague has been facing the lead and wants to help the people and help them. For this reason, they give up the city. But it is difficult to know what the affair will be, so no one knows how long the crisis will last. Personally, I think that it will not cost a million crowns and it will be your expenses.
What will Prague pay for?
We will take care of the refugees. We shared contact cities and mediated places for hostels. We will take care of the children affected by the conflict. You will need help with science. We have now provided free public transport for Ukrainian passport holders. We also offered admission to the zoo for a symbolic price. These are small things, but we will definitely have the costs associated with accommodation and refugees. Prague is proud of these pensions, it’s nothing, we would throw over me. It is one pm consequence of this vicious conflict.

Will the wolf have an impact on the economy of Prague in other areas than in helping refugees?
The immediate consequence will be ada. There will be a decline in the uritch tech economy. This is likely to have a negative impact on the capital’s revenues. We won’t say it’s going to be dramatic. The pressure on energy prices will have a significant impact. Their prices rose rapidly before the conflict in Ukraine itself. Long before the wolf, we estimated that even in connection with the number of these prices, we would have a cost of hundreds of millions of crowns. That’s what I think, and you’re probably going to go.
How is the city’s energy costs at this time?
And take into account any responsibility within the scope of the city, so there you will encounter energy costs. It’s still working for the whole city. Most of these data are undoubtedly in the transport company (DPP). Last year alone, it spent 1.6 billion crowns on wind energy. When the price of a liter of diesel rises by a crown, DPP costs increase by 30 million crowns.
The transport company has such huge spaces from the depots to the office, which has to be asked. External costs are thus reflected in the community and in Prask’s services. And when I go into detail, so does the zoo. There, in the dark, there is a cost of a million crowns.

The combination of rising energy prices with the wolf must be really unfavorable for the budget of Prague …
The fact that the wolf did not start during the economic downturn. On the contrary, we, like the Ministry of Finance, will see that the economy will recover this year. That growth effect will be stronger. On the contrary, under the lead, the economic cycle was in full swing and this situation would make him happy. You come to a certain level. However, every year Prague is farmed in a dwelling and thanks to that we can react to various situations. We have reserves ready and we can handle it.
How high reserves Prague m?
In the current budget, it is several hundred million crowns, when I say it in rough words. These are the means with which we are still in the budget, and in recent years it has paid off in a significant way. We were able to respond to the sudden covid situation and the city’s finances did not endanger it in any way. Of course we also gave the means. However, these are intended for long-term investment in the city, which we would not like to reach for. But in a completely catastrophic scene, which we hope will not happen, we would be able to include these pensions as well. The town is very responsible for a long summer.
Pensions in Prague from the budget are the same as all municipalities and regions in the Czech Republic. You recently appeared in a video in which you criticize the way the budget is made.
There are two types of budget urns (RUDs). One is regional and the other is general. Of this region, the regions and the municipal municipality are financed. Prague is a city and a region, so you get a pension from both RUDs. Of this year, the general will receive 58 billion crowns and the regional two billion. From the regional RUD for the Czech Republic, Prague reaches the absolute minimum, only about three percent, and the rest of the other regions. This does not even match the sweat of the inhabitants of the capital. From the general RUD, on the other hand, we get a significant floor, it’s a dark aunt. The regional RUD is calculated according to the fixed percentages according to the individual regions. These fixed shares were determined twenty years ago when the region was established. And they haven’t changed since.
Do you think it’s time to change that?
The current tax day is a very inflexible tool in its current form. It does not take into account what has happened in the last twenty years, ie whether these regions have grown, for example.
According to what was the financial envelope for the region?
It is determined by the budget and the income of the state. End the percentage of the region. Teba The number of inhabitants in the Central Bohemian region has grown over the years, but RUD has not changed.
How to determine the level of sweat in the municipality and what is at nm according to vs patn?
The area of the municipality and the number of inhabitants play a role in the general RUD. As municipalities grow, they also receive more pensions. Other municipalities come to the wrong point that Prague has more to offer. The problem is that do not include that we are a municipality and a region and we get almost nothing from the regional RUD. So we will not get anything from the state transfers, which are pm state subsidies that flow from the budget to individual municipalities and regions, and Prague will not make it.
In a significant way, we beat ourselves on the fact that we have about 250,000 inhabitants who lived with us, but did not have to live here. The budget urn thus does not reflect the collection of taxes in the municipalities. Even if all companies leave Prague, the city will still have the same pension. Municipalities are not motivated to support business in their country.
