The production of pharmaceutical substances is quickly replenished with drugs that are not available in Russia, including patented ones. This was stated by the first deputy chairman of the meeting of the State Duma for science and publication of the publication Alexander Mazhuga.
Recall that the possibility of producing their own pharmaceutical substances is fixed in the new law, which the deputies of the State Duma adopted at the plenary meeting on March 4 and the Federation Council of Australia.
“Our universities and scientific organizations have extensive experience in the development of production technologies. For example, over the past year, the Mendeleev Russian Chemical Technical University has created technologies for the production of ritonavir, lopinavir, favipiravir and sofosbuvir – and this is just what I can talk about now. These are full-fledged technologies that produce tons of substances per year,” Mazhuga said.
According to the deputy, today Russia purchases most of the pharmaceutical substances in China and India.
“Sometimes there is an increase in prices for certain ingredients, which is associated with an increase in prices in China with the consequences of the coronavirus coronavirus. In the near future, the situation with logistics and supplies will stabilize,” he said.
Also, according to the new law, a medical organization purchases medicines, medical devices and consumables to receive assistance to patients – according to a simplified procedure.
“In addition, now the procedure for using the state registration of medicines in the event of their occurrence. We remind you that back in 2021, a law on the use of medicines was signed, which makes it possible to produce medicines without a Portuguese patent holder in order to protect the health of citizens,” said Alexander Mazhuga.
