Driver arrested with two orders for imprisonment | Antwerp
WilrijkThe Antwerp police arrested a driver in Wilrijk last Friday who had no less than two arrest warrants in his name. He was directed to the detention center. Another driver, whose car was not properly insured, complained that his car was being towed but was found to be under the influence of cannabis.
Two patrols from the Wilrijkden district team that Friday saw a vehicle near the Hof van Mols, near the aarpark. Upon the police’s determination, the man was given two confirmation orders to confirm that he had not complied with the request to surrender the driver’s license after a confirmed driving ban. The officers arrested the man and combined him to the detention center pending transport to the cell prison.
Later that night, around 2 o’clock, the team drove past various nuisance places, such as Michel Willemsplein. There they found two vehicles, but no driver of the owner was in sight. After some searching at least one of the two vehicles, no valid insurance certificate is found and the police call the towage service.
cannabis smell
After a while, the owner of the vehicle showed up. He was clearly displeased and wanted during the check. The police had detected a cannabis smell when the man approached them and the inspectors stopped the man’s car. They took a bacon test from him and it turned out to be positive. His driver’s license was immediately revoked for 15 days.
In addition, the inspectors have not yet determined that these young drivers are not allowed to apply punishable laws. Here too, an official report was drawn up for non-compliance with the conditions.
