The Prince’s Government further relaxes health measures
The health pass will no longer be compulsory for certain employees from Monday.
A slight lull. Faced with the drop in the incidence rate in the Principality, and barely two weeks after the end of the wearing of the compulsory outdoor mask, the Prince’s Government announced this Friday the relaxation of other health measures in force, even if caution remains bet. The following decisions will be applicable as of Monday, February 28:
- End of the mandatory health pass for employees in key positions in the transport, telecommunications, banking and other activities deemed “essential” sectors. The vaccination pass is not retained.
- End of the mandatory mask at school during recess and indoor sports practice. Classroom air purifiers are going to be tested.
- Return of standing services and consumption at the counter in bars and restaurants, and of cloakroom service.
- Return of consumption at the cinema and at the stadium.
- Coffee breaks and other convivial events between colleagues are now possible
- Return to combat or contact sports
As of March 5, teleworking will no longer be compulsory in Monaco, but it will still be recommended, depending on the possibility of the employer. This was also one of the requests requested by the National Council this Friday morning. For the removal of the mask in class for seated students, on the other hand, we will have to wait a little longer. Same for the nightclubs which are still closed.
Soon the end of the health pass in the Principality?
The National Council has also requested the end of the health pass in the Principality, for Monegasques, employees and residents, in the event of an incidence rate less than or equal to 300 positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants. For the moment, this rate, which has fallen by 30% in one week, is 430 cases in Monaco and 719 cases in the Alpes-Maritimes, according to covidtracker.
At the same time, France is preparing to take a big step: from this Monday, February 28, the health protocol will be lightened in schools and the wearing of a mask will no longer be compulsory in closed places subject to the vaccination pass, such as cinemas, theaters or museums. Pass which could also be deleted in France, on condition of recording a low incidence rate and hospital pressure, according to the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran.
