Šárka Siváková: My classmates let me eat that I was from an orphanage
He lovingly tells about the years stored in the children’s home. “Maybe it’s because I got there really tiny, so as a baby I really had a lot of love and attention from my aunts. When I look at the photo albums, I always remember how beautiful my childhood was there. ”
Michaela Blumtritt: With fibromyalgia, it’s hardest not to go crazy. There is no cure
The only thing she regrets are relationships with the brothers. “One brother left home when I was eight years old. It was a messenger. Due to school, I then moved to an orphanage in Sušice, so I eventually lost contact with the other. My life did not interest the brothers. And when I called them, it was useless. We are not very close, we only see each other once a year at Dad’s grave, “he says.
Close as sisters
In the orphanage she had not only the aunts she loved, but also a group of friends. “And then I preferred my sister.”
“Sister?”
“Well, she’s not my sister, but we’re so close that I’ve always taken her as if she were my sister,” explains Sarka Sivakova.
Fifteen-year-old Anička’s mother: she dreamed of a daughter, now she is fighting for her dignified life
She knew some of how her peers got home. “I know a few destinies. And it is true that I cried for some stories… “He considers the saddest ones to be those where parents committed domestic violence against their children. “They cut them, they behaved terribly. There were also stories where a child went from one foster family to another, or one of the parents was mentally ill.”
When Šárka and I talk about aunts, they praise everyone. But as usual, she still had a closer relationship with one. “I didn’t let her know that I thought she was my mother, but I liked Aunt Jarka the most,” smiles Sarka.
For the summer to camps and aunts home
Her normal day was no different from her peers. To school, from school home, homework, snack and then cooking dinner together. But what about classmates at school? How did they take her?
“So they made me eat well because I’m from an orphanage. It was nothing nice, “says Šárka. Swearing, kicking feet, falling off a chair…
And was it solved? “Honestly? Not at all, ”shrugs Sarka, who no longer returns to her childhood wrongs.
Some parents at least took their children on vacation. However, this was not the case with the Sarka family. “I still remember the holidays. We went, trips… And besides, my aunts took me home. ”
Study of criminology
She graduated from a primary school in Chanovice and a secondary school in Sušice with a focus on tourism. And after graduation she went to Prague. First she stayed at the hotel, then she got to an orphanage in Dolní Počernice. And from there her way led to the Strahov dormitories.
“It was crazy there! Then, when the girls from Give the Children a Chance called so that I could live in the starting apartment, I immediately went to see it. “
Thanks to the proceeds from the Kabát group’s concert, the organization Dejme dětem managed to arrange a four-room starting apartment in Libuš.
“I was thrilled to see him! I chose the room closest to the door, based on the black wallpaper, which fascinated me, “smiles Šárka and adds that it would be best that it was fully equipped when moving in.
Jakub Svoboda: The doctor smells alcohol on me. Diabetes came out of it
Appliances and things like washing powders were not missing. “For the rest of my life, I will be grateful to the girls in the organization for what they have done for us. Ditta, Míša, Ivča… We have a beautiful relationship together. If we have trouble, we can call them. And every six months we have weekend meetings where we will see other children that the organization helps. “
He is studying criminology at the Ambis University in Prague. She was inspired by the ‘sister’ from the orphanage. “After a year of study, she joined the army. I believe I will finish school. It’s also such a commitment to Give children a chance that school pays me. I’m in my third year of undergraduate study. My dream is to work for the Military Police… “
