The Prague Congress Center strengthens its leadership by two new editors, Roman Sovjko and Kamil Zlomek
The Prague Congress Center (KCP) strengthens the top management by two new directors. Roman Sovjk, who has more than 25 years of experience in the tourism and congress industry, has a key strategic position as the sales and marketing director of KCP. Kamil Zlomek has become the new CEO of the Holiday Inn Prague Congress Center, who also comes to KCP with 20 years of experience in international hotels at home and abroad. Among other things, both top managers are fully involved in the implementation of activities connected with the Czech Presidency of the EU.
Roman Sovjk joins KCP after nine years, he leads the Czech branch of the international organization Superbrands, which provides marketing research, trade-offs and, most importantly, a renowned global brand. Roman Sovjek’s main responsibility at the KCP’s sales and marketing department will be to relaunch the congress business as a key source of income after a two-year outage caused by coronavirus pandemics.
Kamil Zlomek, the new CEO of the Holiday Inn Hotel, which falls under the KCP, has recently managed the Hotel International Prague and previously spent many years in various managerial positions in the OREA and Marriott Hotels chains in the Czech Republic and abroad. Even now, the biggest challenge in the period of the restoration of full hotel operations and gastronomic services for the congress industry and corporate clientele, which is absolutely essential for the congress Holiday Inn hotel.
For the past two years, they have been completely unprecedented for KCP and the Holiday Inn Hotel, but thanks to the diversification of income and written controversial measures, they have managed to do so in economic health, explains Lenka Lebkov, General Director of the Prague Congress Center. We firmly believe that now there is a period of restart before us, which we want to do in maximum time. People need to meet again, travel, enter personal discussions at professional meetings. Therefore, we are first strengthening the KCP management with the expertise and experience of top managers in our key segments. Congress center Prague is one of the largest congress centers in the Czech Republic, which offers 70 seats and a lounge for events from small conferences to large congresses, even equipped at the highest technical level. The advantage is the excellent transport accessibility to the nearby city center, thanks to which it has a great view of historic Prague. Its center is also the Business Center Vyehrad and the Holiday Inn Prague Congress Center hotel with a capacity of 254 rooms.
