Images from Spain show risk of extreme drought and fires in Portugal
As the images were shared today by the European satellite service, integrated into the European Forest Fire Information System (EFFIS in English evolution), and the effect of the drought in recent weeks has occurred.
The EFFI alert shows a drought for the season, already considered extreme and with a very high risk of fires in the south of Portugal, in Catalonia, Estremadura and Andalusia in Spain, but also in Perpignan, in France, and in Sardinia, in Italy. .
