“Khamzat is this absolute monster” – Brendan Schaub praises Darren Till for flying to Sweden to train with Khamzat Chimaev
Darren Till’s determination to improve himself as a fighter has impressed Brendan Schaub. After offering to train with the Englishman, Till took the initiative to fly all the way to Allstars Gym in Stockholm, Sweden to train with “Borz”.
Schaub paid tribute to Till for showing devotion to his craft by covering the costs of moving to Sweden and starting training with “an absolute monster” like Chimaev. He explained that since Till’s grappling is weak, it’s good that he wants to improve it by training with a wrestling expert like Chimaev.
In a recent video shared on his YouTube channel, Schaub said:
“You have to take your hat off to Darren Till because he was like ‘okay Khamzat is this absolute monster when it comes to grappling’, it’s something that is clearly not Till’s cup of tea so for him to get out of his comfort zone. all the way there can not be cheap … I root for Till [and] I really hope he can live up to his potential. “
Brendan Schaub believes Darren Till could be the next face in British battles after Michael Bisping
Schaub also said that there has not been a popular British champion since Michael Bisping and hopes that Till can achieve the same feat in the future. “Big Brown” said the Englishman seems to be going through a difficult patch with back-to-back losses and a broken ACL.
“We have not had a face of England’s or Europe’s battles since Michael Bisping and Darren Till have it, he has the gabb’s gift, he has the skills, it’s just that he’s had a hard time, I really hope he’s figure it out. “, said Schaub.
