They have accustomed us to these duels at the end of extra time. This time, it is Asvel which offers the lion’s share and the good operation of the 20th day. By winning (87-79), the players of TJ Parker alone take second place in the Betclic Elite Championship ahead of their opponent of the day and behind the leader Boulogne-Levallois.
The Monegasque Alpha Diallo had allowed his team to play extra time by equalizing after regulation time (64-64). The Asvel of TJ Parker had however counted up to 13 points in advance.
During this hotly contested and long undecided meeting between the two French representatives in the Euroleague, the best scorers of the match were Marcos Knight (21 points, 11 rebounds), Chris Jones (19 points) and Matthew Strazel (16 points) on the Rhone side, and Mike James (23 points) on the Monegasque side.
It was the fourth confrontation between the two teams this season: two in Euroleague and two in Betclic Elite (two wins each).
