an unusual visit to the roofs of Fourvière for Valentine’s Day!
Will the basilica score you points on Valentine’s Day? – LyonMag
The roofs of the basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière, on the heights of the 5th arrondissement of Lyon, will welcome lovers this Monday evening on the occasion of Valentine’s Day.
An unusual nocturnal visit of the premises is indeed offered with, on the program, the discovery of hidden places in the basilica such as the Grand Tribune, the attic or the large carillon.
It will also be possible to admire the panorama of Lyon from the Saint-Michel terrace but also at the top of the Observatory tower, which will require you to overcome 345 steps. If it must rain all day on Monday, a little respite is expected in the late afternoon – early evening so as not to spoil the owner’s tour.
The visit lasts 1h15 and costs 25 euros, with the possibility of making an additional donation. Five departures are offered this Monday evening: 5:45 p.m., 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 7 p.m. But the offer is a victim of its own success and all slots are no longer available.
The appointment is given directly at the start of the visit at the top of the steps of the basilica on the right (wooden door). It is advisable to arrive 10 minutes before the departure of the desired visit, with your E-Ticket or confirmation of online booking. The vaccination pass is compulsory to visit Fourvière, as well as wearing a mask.
Please note that the F2 funicular between Vieux-Lyon and Fourvière is currently not operating due to maintenance. Relay buses are deployed.
