The creators of Rouen (Seine-Maritime) combine their strength and talent. This is the case with Showcasearts and crafts shop that brings together several local designers (clothing, leather, jewellery, etc.). The place already existed rue Molière, in the Saint-Marc districtbut has just moved into a new, larger space at number 70, Cauchoise Street.

Sharing of rent and office hours

“Six years ago, several Rouen artisans created the La Vitrine association, explains Sandrine Thiessé (cards, photo albums, decorated papers). The idea, for the creators, was to have a presentation space, by sharing the rental and the management of the place, knowing that very often this alone is not possible. »

Today there are seven permanent staff who make up this commercial co-location, six of whom take turns to provide reception at the shop, one day a week and one Saturday out of six each. And all decisions relating to the life of the store are taken collectively. In addition, the objects, habits or creations of other creators are displayed in the shop, they do not provide permanence but contribute by paying a small rent. And once a month, the work of a guest designer is highlighted. Anyone interested is welcome and can contact the Vitrine team by sending an email to [email protected].com
