The Biceps program in Greece and Europe continues ‘uphill’
PAOK
PAOK has to play seven games in a period of three weeks, including the matches against Midland and the away derbies with Aris and AEK.
Razvan Lucescu gave a break yesterday (10/2) to his team as a reward for qualifying for the Cup semifinals and today he is waiting for his players to start preparing for Sunday’s match (13/2, 17:15, Novasports 2HD and LIVE from SPORT24) with Atromitos in Toumba.
From the moment the derby with AEK in OAKA, which was postponed due to covid-19 cases, was set for March 2, the Romanian coach knows that the program that follows continues to be uphill with a game every three days. PAOK has to play 7 games in a period of 3 weeks.
PAOK faces Atromitos in Toumba on Sunday. On Wednesday, the Biceps delegation will fly to Denmark, having completed its preparations in Thessaloniki, where on Thursday (17/2) it will play its first match against Midtjylland for the knockout phase of the Conference League.
The local and special derby with Aris is scheduled for Sunday (20/2). Klikelis Vikelidis four days later, on the 24th of the month, Dikefalos will play his second game with the Danes in Toumba. Three more championship matches follow with Ionikos and Lamia in Toumba for the last two games of the regular season on 27/2 and 6/3 respectively in Toumba and in between the postponed derby with AEK in OAKA.
One understands that the endurance of the Biceps roster will continue to be tested, with Razvan Lucescu, however he has not put more players in the rotation and he clearly does not have more options. It is important for the PAOK coach to reduce the absence problems as much as possible.
At the moment, only Nelson Oliveira is in the medical record of Dikefalos, and this is because Omar El Kaddouri has completed his recovery and is in the phase of reintegration in the regular training sessions of his team.
