Russia warned about the determination of NATO and the EU Russian news EN
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that Russia should not underestimate the resolve and unity of NATO and the European Union, reports RIA News.
Scholz warned that potential aggression against Ukraine would have “very high marks, political and strategic consequences” for Russia. He added that the EU expects clear steps from Russia to reduce tensions in the healthcare sector. “De-escalation is the call of the times,” the German chancellor said.
The German Chancellor noted that European countries are ready to conduct a serious dialogue with Russia on security on the continent. He said that NATO had submitted “concrete proposals”. Scholz decided that in two cases there is a double private position of the country of the West in relation to Russia.
“In this critical situation for all of us, Russia should not underestimate our determination and unity – as partners in the EU, as allies in NATO. I want to make it clear: we take the demands of our allies very seriously,” Scholz said before a meeting with the prime ministers of the Baltic countries.
Earlier, Germany, France and Poland provided Russia with a reduction in rigidity on the borders of Ukraine. This was stated by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French and Polish leaders Emmanuel Macron and Andrzej Duda following the Weimar Triangle summit in Berlin.
