this is what happens in the majority in the Marche
ANCONA – In Rome the center-right is leaking water from all sides. Fratelli d’Italia, with Giorgia Meloni, even gives him up for dead and goes on with his work, focusing more on a revision than on putting the pieces back together. Salvini for his part today convened the federal council of the League in Milan but anticipates an idea that is buzzing in his head: the creation of a federation of parties, on the model of the United States.
Then there is Forza Italia, which claims the leadership of Berlusconi, who was discharged from the hospital yesterday, who after having run independently for the election of the President of the Republic is waiting to learn about the Northern League project to go beyond any evaluation. But in the meantime it aims to shift the center-right towards a central axis with a traction marked by the values of the European Popular. That’s the way it is in Rome.
The regional situation
In the Marches, on the other hand, people continue to govern following the pattern that led the coalition to conquer the Region. The goal is to allow oneself to be conditioned as little as possible by national dynamics and concentrate on the government program. The concept was reiterated yesterday afternoon: first in the meeting of the Group of Brothers of Italy and then in the majority meeting which was held to finalize the next objectives but also to look each other in the eyes after the storm on the great voters. And the party leaders as well as the group leaders in the Council repeat it as a mantra: an operation that must be completed, even if the Roman tensions will not be able to remain totally out of the executive’s door.
The internal clutches
That some signs of internal flaw have already highlighted it, starting with the quarrel between the Northern League councilor Saltamartini (Health) and the group leader Ciccioli (FdI) on a motion concerning mental health. The first, obviously annoyed, also said he was willing to leave the delegation. And again the friction between the councilors Carloni (Lega) and Aguzzi (Forza Italia) on the hunt for the starling, with the second openly deployed with the hunters. But discontent is also highlighted between Forza Italia and the Brothers of Italy, with the group leader Jessica Marcozzi and the regional councilor Guido Castelli for the resources allocated to Fermano of institutional development contracts: too small, according to the councilor. Lastly, the diplomatic incident that had always seen Ciccioli talking with the doctors of Torrette together with the governor Acquaroli but without the holder of the delegation of health, Saltamartini. In short, not all that glitters is gold. also in yesterday’s meeting the majority expressed their intention not to give up and carry on the government commitments with solid conviction. Despite Rome and at least for the moment.
