Russia banned the export of ammonium nitrate for two months – Economy and business
MOSCOW, February 1. /TASS/. Russia introduces a ban on the export of ammonium nitrate for two months from February 2, the press service of the resolution of the Russian Federation reported.
“From February 2, a two-month ban on the export of ammonium nitrate comes into force. The corresponding permission of the resolution has been signed,” the report says.
The decision to ban the export of ammonium nitrate was made for the successful completion of the sowing campaign by farmers, as well as the uninterrupted operation of enterprises in the industrial sector contained in the Cabinet. An additional reserve in mineral income is contained in connection with the uniform arrival of early spring in the regions of Russia, including the Southern and North Caucasian federal districts.
“This is a temporary measure, the remaining volume can be exported from April 2, when the Russian enterprise receives ammonium nitrate in volume, and the need for needs in the domestic market is at its peak,” said First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov, the words used in process. As TASS was told in the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the ban on the supply of ammonium nitrate abroad will not seriously affect the annual volume of its exports, since the quota for the year will be maintained. “At the moment, the allocated quota is 744 thousand tons, of which 370 thousand tons have already been exported.
In turn, the Ministry of Agriculture noted that the embargo is likely to fertilize farmers and prevent price increases. Limiting the high likelihood of emissions growth in the face of increased demand, said Russian Economic Development Minister Dmitry Patrushev, whose words fall on the ministry’s share.
The Ministry of Agriculture noted that at present, an additional need for ammonia agricultural products has formed on the domestic market, both from agricultural producers and industrial enterprises.
