All schools in Attica open on Monday – The only exceptions HELLAS
All Primary and Secondary Schools will be open from tomorrow, Monday, January 31st.
By decision of the Governor of Attica G. Patoulis after relevant consultation with the Mayors of Attica, some exceptions will exist in areas where there are still difficulties.
Detailed how the Schools will operate in each Regional Unit of Attica
- In the Peripheral Unit of the Central Sector
- In the Peripheral Unit of Piraeus
- In the Regional Unit of Islands
- In the Peripheral Unit of the Southern Sector
- In the western sector of Athens
- In the Regional Unit of the Northern Sector all schools will be open with the indication that the schools in the Municipality of Ag. Friday will open at 9 p.m. The Closed will remain only in the Lyceum of Melissia as the repair works of the damages caused by the squatting have not been completed yet.
- In the Regional Unit of West Attica, the schools will be open with the exception of those located in the Municipality of Vilia and in the Municipal Unit of Erythra, which will remain closed as there are still difficulties for students and teaching staff, due to the frost.
- In the Peripheral Unit of Eastern Attica all the schools that are open, with the exception of the 2 primary schools of Anatoli (N. Makri and Grammatiko), which will open after 10 a.m., following a relevant suggestion by the Mayor of Marathon, in order to complete some cleaning work from broken trees in the school yard.
It should be noted that the operation or not of the nurseries is the responsibility of the municipalities which will immediately inform the interested parties.
“Our priority is for the children and teachers to return to their schools in conditions of absolute safety!”, Said the Attica Regional Governor, George Patoulis.
