Belarus new recipes for lamb products
The Meat Technologies magazine reports that the Institute of Meat and Dairy Industry of the Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is working on lamb processing technologies.
According to Deputy Director of the Institute Natalia FurikThis is due to the new line of activity with the open development of sheep breeding for 2019-2025, repeated at the state level. Within three years, it is necessary to determine the requirements for mutton as a raw material, in particular, this type of meat for processing and recipes for manufacturing a wide range of products based on it, including semi-finished products and sausages.
The raw material base has been developing over the past three years. By 2025, Belarus plans to increase the total livestock from the current 87.6 thousand to 169 thousand heads, and the volume of sales of mutton in live weight to 2333.6 tons. For this suspicious case, 37.2 animals belonging to animals with a high genetic potential for meat production will be purchased. 18.5 head of young animals are the main resources for supplying agricultural, farming and personal subsidiary farms participating in the program.
