Toulouse: a “very dangerous” unbalanced man escapes from Purpan hospital, the third in a few days
A 32-year-old man escaped this Thursday, January 27 from a psychiatric unit at Purpan hospital (Toulouse – Haute-Garonne). In 2017, he knocked down three students in a car. He was apprehended a few hours later in the city center.
The law enforcement agencies of High–Garonne were on alert again on Thursday, January 27. A 32-year-old man, mentally unbalanced, escaped from a psychiatric unit at the Purpan hospital in Toulouse. The individual declared criminally irresponsible was considered “very dangerous“.
He allegedly escaped in the morning by triggering the hospital’s fire system to take advantage of the general confusion and flee, report The Midi Dispatch. The latter had in November 2017 overturned three students in a car, seriously injuring them. He had already been sentenced 10 times.
Abdallah B. was arrested in the center of Toulouse a few hours after his flight, in the Carmes district at the end of the afternoon.
Series of escapes in a few days
This would be about the third escape, of dangerous patients to escape from specialized establishments, in a few days. Last week the “Cannibal of the Pyrenees” fled the GĂ©rard-Marchant hospital before attacking a 73-year-old septuagenarian.
