Rugby League: Johnaton Ford leaves Toulouse Olympique
Johnathon Ford leaves Olympic Toulouse for personal and family reasons.
Hard blow for the TO ten days before its debut in the Super League. Johnathon Ford, the club’s hub, named the best in the Championship in 2021 according to the annual survey by the English daily League Express, will not play in the Super League since he is leaving the club as indicated in the club press release: “From a By mutual agreement, Toulouse Olympique XIII and Johnathon Ford have decided to terminate the player’s engagement with immediate effect. The half-Australian left the club for family and personal reasons. During his eleven seasons at the TO, he played 190 games and scored 53 tries. As captain in 2021, he was a real leader and was able to get the best out of his teammates, which made him grow. The whole Toulouse Olympique team wants to be grateful for his contribution to the history of the club and wish him the best for the future.”
With this departure, should we see a follow-up to the information published in the columns of La Dépêche du Midi on Monday according to which several important players (including Mark Kheirallah) could leave the club because they do not wish to be vaccinated? As a reminder, professional players must have their vaccination pass up to date.
