nnew inclusive games al Argingrosso park in Florence. The project “A game for everyone ”is from the Borgogni association and is among the winners of the second edition of the call for Paesaggi Comuni, run away from CR Florence Foundation in collaboration with the Municipality of Florence.
The inauguration of the play area has seen the presence of the deputy mayor of Florence, Alessia Bettini; the Councilor for the Environment, Cecilia Del Re; the president of the district 4 Mirko Dormentoni; Alessandra Bandini for the CR Firenze Foundation; Valentina Borgogni, president of the Gabriele Borgogni Onlus association for road safety.
“The Association has been carrying on for some time the defense of physical activity for all, has in fact already helped another person with disabilities, in that case with a wheelchair to play basketball – he said Valentina Borgogni, president of the Borgogni Onlus association, named after Gabriele, brother of the founder, who died in a car accident caused by a drunk driver -. Unfortunately it is still too much many initiatives to try to avoid those accidents, first of all with road education. At the same time, however, the Association wants to help those people to return to normality and the rediscovery of a sport, a game and fun is certainly one of our objectives “.
Lo play area is aimed at an age group between 3 and 12 years old, made to be accessible to children with disabilities. These are two structures, a “path for a smile“Which includes a carriage, a play platform complete with polyethylene panels, two horses with supporting structure, two play panels and two ramps, one for entry and one for exit, for wheelchairs, with reduced inclination to allow the transit of children with disabilities, and then a carousel with safety sides, seats for accompanying persons, positions for wheelchairs with safety belts and access ramps with special stops.
