ZURICH

So FC Wil lost against FC Zurich

Sugar Mizzy January 22, 2022

Early goal decides: FC Wil is narrowly defeated by the Super League winter champions

Like last Wednesday against FC St.Gallen, FC Wil also lost the away friendly against FC Zurich from the Super League 0-1. If a late goal was decisive during the week, it was now an early one.

The live ticker from the test match FC Zurich – FC Wil:

Enough

That should be it for today. Thank you for your interest in this live ticker and I wish you a nice weekend. Until bald. Hello from Zurich.

outlook

Apropos: The second half of the season in the Challenge League started for FC Wil in eight days. Also on Sunday, January 30th, when FC Vaduz make a guest appearance at Bergholz Sportpark at 2:15 p.m. We will also report on this game with a live ticker.

final conclusion

The verdict is okay. Especially in the first half, the Wiler were clearly inferior. In the second half, the guests found the game better and defied the Super League winter champions. Despite the defeat, you can look positively towards the start of the second half with the performance in the second half.

final whistle

FC Wil lost the last friendly against FC Zurich 0-1.

86 minutes

Another change at Wilern: Bahloul leaves the field and makes room for Miranda.

85 minutes

Not that the game fell asleep. But on the contrary. It goes from one penalty area to the other. A probably lively kick of the two teams. Really dangerous chances are scarce.

83 minutes

Dickenmann sees the yellow card for a foul on Hodza on the halfway line.

81 minutes

Double change for Zurich: Dzemaili and Krasiniqi leave Feld. In the game are Miguel Reichmuth and Hodza.

77 minutes

Triple change at the Wilers: Zumberi, Izmirlioglu and Lukembila go from Feld. Coric, Daniel and test player Tonbul are new to the game.

76 minutes

Zumberi tries a shot from the second row. But the ball goes wide of the goal.

73 minutes

Zurich are still the game-determining team, but not nearly as oppressive as in the first half. The Wilers are now holding up well and are clearly more offensive than in the first round.

72 minutes

Breitenreiter seems to have liked the time for a change: Boranijasevic leaves the field and makes room for Rohner. He too is best known in Wil.

71 minutes

This is also a test game. While Kramer is being treated on the field, Breitenreiter asks if anyone is keeping track of the time. Of course we’re happy to help. There are still 20 minutes to go.

69 minutes

Now it’s the turn of Zurich again: Krasniqi sends Kramer deep. But its conclusion can be steered over the bar by Keller.

67 minutes

The Wiler with a pleasing offensive game: Lukembila comes on the left side. He plays the ball in the backcourt, where Bahloul takes the ball directly. But his degree goes straight to Brecher.

66 minutes

Next change at Wilern: Abazi comes into play for Touré.

62 minutes

And Khelifi’s first action: he comes over the right and shoots from 10 meters. But he only hits the left post. The people of Zurich are getting closer and closer to the goal.

61 minutes

Double change for Zurich: goalscorer Gnonto and Doumbia leave the field and make way for Seiler and Khelifi.

58 minutes

That must be the second goal for FC Zurich: Gnonto sends Kramer on the journey with a through pass. This eluded the Wiler defense and put the ball past the right post in front of the Wiler goal. It seems that Zurich have now also arrived in the second half.

55 minutes

Zurich coach André Breitenreiter doesn’t like what he doesn’t see in the second half. His team is nowhere near as defiant as they were in the first half. So the Wiler have more space to combine. So far, nothing that can be counted has really come out.

52 minutes

Dzemaili tries a shot from a good 25 meters. But the ball goes a meter over the Wiler Tor.

48 minutes

The Wiler already with the first shot in the second half: Newcomer Touré shoots from 16 meters in the middle. But the ball goes just over the Zurich goal.

46th minute

Two changes at half-time for the Wilers in the full-back positions: Dickenmann plays on the right for Frei and Heule on the left for Brahimi. The Zurich team have also changed their defense: Gogia came for ex-Wiler Kamberi. Otherwise, the people of Zurich have not changed.

46th minute

Let’s start with the last half of this test match winter. Kramer toasts for Zurich.

Break

The teams return. The second half of the test match between FC Zurich and FC Wil is about to begin. Is there anything else?

break conclusion

FC Wil deserves to be behind. If coach Brunello Iacopetta wanted to see the defense in action again, he succeeded. On the offensive less. FC Zurich dominated the first half. – The only reproach that man can make against Zurich is the accuracy of the last pass and the conclusion. If the home side had been a bit more consistent, they could have scored more goals. But everything is still possible for the second half.

break whistle

FC Wil is trailing 1-0 to FC Zurich at halftime.

41 minutes

Krasniqi with a shot from 16 meters in the middle. But the ball goes a good meter over the Wiler Tor.

39 minutes

The Wiler try to break free from the clutches of Zurich. But the hosts are much more present in the duels. That’s why the ball is usually gone after the third contact.

34 minutes

Kramer can run through Wiler’s midfield undisturbed and shoots from a half-right position. His shot can still be deflected around the post by Keller.

32 minutes

Another sign of life from Wiler: Muntwiler sends Bahloul on the journey with a long ball down the right flank. This crosses into the middle, where the ball is too high for Lukembila.

30 minutes

What is nice about the test games is the position of the live ticker. He sits right on the edge of the field between the coaches’ benches and takes all the instructions with him. Thus, Breitenreiter will keep his team in the “half position”. The Wiler trainer asks his players to share the space. Aha.

28 minutes

The Wiler continue to run after the ball and opponents. You can see that FC Zurich is not the leader of the Super League by accident.

26 minutes

Jones replaces the injured Ismaili. Good and speedy recovery from this point as well. The Wiler again with eleven men on the field.

20 minutes

Ismaili holds his arm and goes off the field. It looks like he fell right onto the fracture he’s only just healed. On the sidelines, Iacopetta asks for a doctor. This does not look good.

17 minutes

But now it’s the home side’s turn again. Balls fly into Wiler’s penalty area from left and right. They all have trouble clearing the balls.

14 minutes

A first sign of life from Wiler: Brecher is able to fend off Zumberi’s corner kick.

11 minutes

There is still only one team playing here, and that is FC Zurich. The hosts put pressure on Wiler early on and forced them to make mistakes. Wil-Goalie Keller can’t complain today that he’s too cold.

8 minutes

Continue the Zurich in forward gear. Gnonto puts the ball into the penalty area, but Talabidi clears it.

5 minutes

The people of Wil have never been in half of the people of Zurich. Before this goal, Zurich had three good chances.

4 minutes

TOOOR for FC Zurich through Gnonto to make it 1-0. After a corner kick from the right by Dzemaili, the Zurich offensive power hits from the vault two meters in front of the goal. The game is launched.

1 minute

Here we go. Touré toasts for Wiler.

1:59 p.m

The teams are here. The game is played on natural grass. It’s starting soon. Have fun with the test match between FC Zurich and FC Wil.

1:58 p.m

The game will be directed by Super League referee Urs Schnyder from Escholzmatt in the canton of Lucerne.

1:56 p.m

Zurich coach André Breitenreiter decided in a 3-5-2 for the following starting formation. The gate protects the ex-Wiler Brecher. The defense is made up of newcomers Mets, Kryeziu and Kamberi from right to left. Aliti, Krasniqi, Doumbia, Dzemaili and Boranijasevic fill the midfield from the right. Kramer (right) and Gnonto act in the storm.

1:53 p.m

We are at the team rosters for tonight’s game. Wil’s coach Brunello Iacopetta lets the following players run in a 4-3-3 system at the beginning. Keller is in the gate. The defense is made up of Frei, Izmirlioglu, Talabidi and Brahimi from right to left. Starting from the right in midfield are Zumberi, Captain Muntwiler (a bit more defensive) and Ismaili. The attack line form right to left Bahloul. Toure and Lukembila. Five players are on sick leave. One actor has a positive rapid corona test and is waiting for the result of the PCR test. For all others, the PCR test is negative. FC Wil does not mention names. Silvio, who was there in the 1-0 friendly defeat against St.Gallen on Wednesday, is out today due to a sore muscle.

1:50 p.m

The Zurich team was the only one of the ten Super League teams not to cancel their training camp and spent ten days preparing in Belek in southern Turkey. Two friendlies were also played. There were two draws. During the week, the Super League leader traveled back to Switzerland. Shortly before, however, three players and one staff member had tested positive for the corona virus. A training camp was not even planned for the Wilers. There should have been a team event for this, but it had to be canceled due to Covid-19. For both teams it is the last test match before the start of the second half of the season.

1:46 p.m

FC Wil will start the second half of the season next weekend with a home game against Challenge League winter champions FC Vaduz. At the end of the preparatory phase, today we face the Super League winter champions FC Zurich. A warm welcome from the Heerenschürli sports facility in Zurich, where the city club plays its test home games. Pascal Ibig is in the Limmat city and ticks through the party.
