Koenigseder: “Everything in tabular order”
Undoubtedly: SV Strasswalchen knew how to convince in many areas in the first half of the season. The green-whites laughed ten times after the end of the round from the top 5, the “worst” placement was a seventh place. At the end of a long and exhausting autumn, a sixth place finish is on the plus side. “If you look at the circumstances of the squad change, I’m very satisfied with the performance of my young team in most games. Everything is fine in the table, since we’re only three points behind the promotion place. The points we dropped against Adnet were painful and Bürmoos,” sums up coach Florian Königseder.
Straßwalchen burned off offensive fireworks
With a whopping 36, the Königseder crew scored the second most goals in the Salzburg league. In this regard, only leader Hallein (39) was better. Königseder is delighted: “Of course I’m very pleased with these statistics, since we started the season without any real strikers. In my opinion, the good goal tally is due to our style of play, which is very proactive and offensive. The boys have the requirements very much implemented well and were able to reward themselves with a lot of goals.” One or the other team felt the extremely dangerous attack of the Flachgauers mercilessly. Thalgau (1:7) and Puch (2:11) were literally chased out of the Negova Arena.
area remains in the top 6
Although what has been shown so far has been more than appealing, Straßwalchen does not want to get involved in anything special with regard to the intention – the church tower is left in the village, so to speak. “Our goals will remain the same as before the season. We want to be in the top 6 and continue to develop our young team. We’ll see what the bottom line is in the table,” explains Königseder. As of now, there are no arrivals or departures to report in the Straßwalchen camp.
Driving to the training camp depends on the situation
The return to official team training is scheduled for January 31st. “Of course, the boys have been preparing with individual runs and strength units since the beginning of January,” said Königseder. With regard to training camps, the prevailing circumstances will decide. “If the corona situation allows it, a 5-day training camp would be planned for the end of February this year,” said Königseder.
