Police, associations, companies… invited to comment on safety in Toulouse
A consultation will take place this Friday, January 21 in Toulouse on the theme of security, as part of the “Assises de la sécurité” organized by the association France Urbaine, interpreted by Jean-Luc Moudenc. The objective is to convey to the candidates for the presidential election the concerns and expectations of the police, associations or even companies who work daily at the local level.
A territorial consultation is organized at Espace Vanel (rue René Leduc) in Toulouse this Friday, January 21 about safety in the city. This event takes place as part of the preparation of the “Foundations of security», created by France Urbaine, an association created by the mayor of Toulouse Jean-Luc Moudenc. Police officers, companies, or associations that work every day at the local level are therefore invited to come and give their opinion on the following topics:
- Municipal police: governance, missions and status
- Fight against violent radicalism
- For a strengthening of the partnership with the Judicial Institution
- Prevention policies and coordination with local actors.
What is the objective of the “Assises de la sécurité”?
The Assises de la sécurité will be organized on March 3 at Le Creusot (Saône-et-Loire) by France Urbaine, an association made up of cities, towns and major cities in France, Toulouse is not part of.
A few months before the presidential election, theobjective is to convey to candidates the concerns and expectations of security actors, justice, companies and associations that work on the ground on a daily basis.
To prepare for these “Assises de la sécurité”, regional workshops have already been organized in Besançon (December 17) and Cherbourg (January 13).
New stages will take place in Toulouse (January 21, as mentioned above), but also in Metz on January 26, then in Marseille on February 16 in order to continue this consultation work. ” From representatives of each city that hosted a territorial consultation will then present their work and proposals during the security meetings in Le Creusot”, concludes France Urbaine.
