Neither Prague nor the Central Bohemian Region is afraid of the omicron
Representatives of the city and the Transport Company or the rescue service described the possible operation of positively tested drivers or social workers in the quarantine regime as “unimaginable”. “The vaccinations of the inhabitants of Prague’s homes for the elderly are close to one hundred percent and the staff is only a slightly smaller number. Nevertheless, it is certain that the omicron will break. Instead of working quarantine, we have a backup plan. It consists in activating volunteers, including those from the Czech Red Cross, and also in minimizing activities, “said Councilor for Social Affairs and Health Milena Johnová (Prague herself).
A “subdued” work regime caused by the illness of most staff would in practice mean the provision of only the most essential services. “For example, in personal assistance, the administration of employees and administrators are already being transferred to direct care,” the councilor pointed out, according to which visits to residential facilities are not limited yet.
Three-quarters of Central Bohemians do not have to be afraid of a difficult course of covid
Due to the onset of the next wave of the epidemic, city companies that take care of “critical infrastructure” (eg Prague Services, Technical Communications Administration, Capital City Technology) are also on standby. “We are implementing organizational measures to minimize contacts between employees. Specifically, this means the division of operations into dispatch centers, exit teams, administration, while the dispatch centers have the greatest protection, “said Jan Chabr, councilor for municipal property (United Forces / TOP 09). According to the management of Prague, municipal companies have enough protective aids and tests.
The director of the Prague ambulance service does not expect any problems in managing the situation in the coming days. “The good news is that since the end of last year, hospitals have held reserves for us thanks to a ministerial decree. The placement of transported patients has thus significantly improved, “said the head of the Medical Rescue Service of the capital, Petr Kolouch.
Due to the omicron, the crisis staff of the Central Bohemian Region also met for the second time since the beginning of the year. “All IRS units in the region have confirmed the setting up of regimes and internal organizational measures to prevent the spread of the contagious variant of omicron. In public transport, the PID dispatching center is operatively able to intervene in the operation of train and bus lines, with the priority being to always keep school connections and connections at peak times. The regional administration and maintenance of roads has also prepared traffic scenarios so that even in the event of an infection, it will be possible to ensure the modification of roads in the region, “said President Petra Pecková (STAN) this week.
Trolleybuses are returning, provided by the dilapidated house from 1952
Information on Central Bohemian public transport is published daily on the website www.pid.cz and social networks, always from 7 pm the day before the next day of operation. The region also addressed the providers of necessary services with regard to the setting up of regime measures that would mitigate the spread of omicron variants. The appeal was aimed, among other things, at the owners and operators of water management infrastructure, landfills and collection companies or entities in the food sector.
The situation in social services in the Central Bohemian Region remains stable. The latest data show that there were only eight positive out of more than 5.5 thousand clients in the residential social care facilities of the established regions. Of the 60 facilities that are not established by the region, none of the nearly 3.5,000 clients tested positive last time.
