Frankfurt: “My local, your local” candidate “totally fucked up” because of a small detail
“My local, your local” – candidate “totally fucked up” because of a small detail

Frankfurt am Main – It’s actually just a bit of decoration. Nevertheless, the omnipresent foam on the dishes in the episode of “Mein Lokal, Dein Lokal” on Tuesday caused a lot of excitement.
This week, five restaurant owners from Frankfurt and the surrounding area compete with each other in the documentary soap on Kabel 1 and want to win the coveted golden plate.
After Stefan Allgaier (56), head of the “Allgaiers” in Frankfurt, was rated by the competition with a whopping 37 out of 40 possible points on Monday (TAG24 reported), Alexander Rost (40) now invited to the “Wirtshaus zu den Mainterrassen” in Maintal .
And as the term “Wirtshaus”, which is part of the name, suggests, the “Mainterrassen” are home-style, albeit with a kick.
Flames rage in the apartment building: any help comes too late for a dog
Alex’s guests were in the classic tavern atmosphere – next to Stefan the candidates Stefano Motta (36, “Wald & Wiese”), Katrin Maier (37, “Main Glück”) and Linh Burkhart (32, “Onocubes”) are with us this week of the party – often very impressed by the quality and appearance of the individual courses.
There is only one thing that does not suit Stefan at all. His namesake Stefan, the chef in the “Mainterrassen”, has a special weakness: a spoon of fluffy lemon foam lands on almost everything that leaves his kitchen.
“It has no business being on your plate,” says professional chef Mike Süsser
Even the foam on his starter, a pumpkin cream soup, was frowned upon by the 56-year-old. “The foam is decorative, but it has no taste,” was Stefan’s judgment.
When the foam blob was to be found on his main course, a classic Wiener Schnitzel, he burst out: “I am so fucked up that there is this foam on it again. Why do you put something like that on a schnitzel ?!”
Professional chef Mike Süsser (51), who commented on what was happening on the screen, also agreed. “The only foam in the pub should be on the beer,” said the expert.
Asked by Stefan about the reason for all the foam, Alex and his cook replied that this was a kind of “unique selling point” that the guests would talk about.
“That has nothing to look for on the plate to this extent,” said professional Mike here completely different. “You can do that as a gag, but not as a standard.”
And so the little foam was certainly one of the reasons why Alex didn’t get a little better off in the evaluation.
Despite the foam problem, Alex got a good 31 points
While Stefano got a great 9 and Katrin 8 points, Linh and foam-despiser Stefan only got 7.
With 31 points, Alex has to admit defeat to Stefan too, but was still satisfied with the number of points.
Next, Stefano loads on Wednesday at 5:55 p.m. on Kabel 1 to the “Wald & Wiese” in Offenbach.
