Berlin SPD youngsters criticize Giffey’s vaccination campaign – BZ Berlin
The Jusos quarrel with their party leader Franziska Giffey (43, SPD) – but not with an open visor!
On Twitter they distanced themselves at the weekend without naming the addressee: “We do not represent individual groups of the population as vaccine skeptics without a fact-based basis.”
The aim on Giffey, who announced last week, to increasingly address people “whom we have not yet reached so well in German either.”
In Neukölln, Wedding, Heerstraße Nord (Spandau), imams and district mothers are supposed to help as mediators. “That has a lot to do with trust. Sending flyers is useless, ”said Giffey on Tuesday.
The Senate’s goal is set: by the end of January, 80 percent of Berliners should be there at least once – currently 4.4 percent are still missing.

The Jusos tweet fueled the debate on social media. In reactions, Giffey is accused of racism. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) also found a lower vaccination rate among migrants in a survey.
Giffey emphasizes: “I presented various building blocks for higher vaccination rates. This includes outreach vaccinations in neighborhoods with particularly high incidences and in the communities. “
On Wednesday there is to be a preparatory meeting between the Berlin integration officers and the German Red Cross, among others – mobile vaccination teams are to be used.
