The homeowners participated in purchase campaigns that ran from early 2020 to September 2021
energy loan
Together with parties such as Regionaal Energieloket, Profit from your home and neighborhood networks, the municipality carries out purchasing campaigns for each district. The extra solar panels on Amsterdam roofs require about 3.5 megawatt peak in power.
According to the city, many participants have used the energy loan from the municipality to install solar panels. This loan is not available for energy-saving measures in homes.
Taste a protected cityscape
Because residents often think it is not possible to install solar panels on roofs with a monument or heritage status, an approach has been developed for owners of monumental buildings. This calendar year, therefore, a trial will start in the Noord district for the roll-out of solar panels, especially for protected homeowners. If the results are good, this trial will continue in the rest of the city. Purchase campaigns are also planned for, among other things, insulation measures for homeowners.
In addition, a project will start in 2022 in the Center, postcode area 1012, where there are many monumental buildings. The municipality offers extra support here when applying for permits. If successful, the project will be expanded further.
