We controlled the match from the middle. Pardubice coach Repeša praises the defense
At first glance, this may seem like a relatively convincing win, especially when Beksa broke into a ten-point lead in the middle of the second quarter and the USK gave only two baskets in five minutes, but it was just the opposite.
“The start was not very good, but over time they played better and better in defense and we specially controlled the second halves, we were already fully struggling,” looked forward to the post-match press conference of Pardubice coach Dina Repeša.
Probably the biggest positive for Pardubice in this match was the rebound victory. At the end of the year, coach Repeša complained that his team had lost in this respect, while he often dominated an important discipline on Sunday at 42:27.
Pardubice basketball players jumped to sixth place in the table and the next match awaits them on Wednesday. They have been playing in the European Alpe Adria Cup from 7 pm on the board of the Austrian Wels.
They then have the league game on the program three days later from 7.30 pm in Dašická against the GBA Jindřichův Hradec, with which the East Bohemians this year, where they lost once. With the newcomer Beksa at the end of October, she fell outside 90:92. “It was a very bad match, we lost it in the rebound,” Repeša recalled.
This will be the first of the three final matches of the basic part for Beks.
