Hand injuries, alcohol poisoning and the victims of drunken brawls – it was a busy New Year’s Eve for the list of emergency department hospitals in the capital. – As every year, there were many victims of setting fireworks – says the head of the HED at the Bielany Hospital, Dr. Józef Chłopicki.
– Injuries, engaging surgeons, engagements with interruptions of work continuity, main involvement, bone involvement – lists the doctor.
In the Bielany Hospital, there were other things that happened. – Resulting from street aggression, with a knife stab. We managed to stabilize them – says Dr. Chłopicki.
Some nights of alcohol too much I do the same head. – On a weekend, it often happens that we have more patients under alcohol and that is what it means together. They are performed under the activities that are performed, which, of course, is the case with poisoning, but it will not be extraordinary. We are not surprised at all, it just happens – explains Dr. Chłopicki.
According to the estimates of the Bielański Hospital, there are about 100 patients per day at the HED. The clinic expects even more sick people to come today.
