Official: Vanderson joins AS Monaco
While the transfer window has just opened, Monaco has just announced its first recruit of this winter transfer window. In tune with the times for a few days, Vanderson, the Brazilian right-back of Gremio, has signed up for 5 seasons with ASM.
While the departure of Kovac is not yet formalized, Monaco announces its first recruit. The Brazilian defender is leaving Brazil and is based in Monaco. He will compete with Djibril Sidibé and Ruben Aguilar on the right side of the defense, and could possibly compensate for the departure of one of the two full-backs during this transfer window. Monaco have reportedly spent around 11 million euros to attract the U20 international. At only 20 years old, Vanderson has already had around fifty pro games and has already played in the Copa Libertadores with Gremio Porto Alegre.
As usual, Oleg Petrov, Paul Mitchell reacted to this arrival:
Oleg Petrov “It is with great pleasure that we welcome Vanderson to AS Monaco. The season he has just played has allowed him to come with very interesting potential. For the club, this is an important long-term move that also allows us to strengthen the workforce for the second part of the season and the three competitions in which AS Monaco is involved. “
Paul mitchell “We are very happy to welcome Vanderson to AS Monaco. He is a very dynamic and forward-looking defender, generous in his efforts, able to bring his technical qualities to the opposing half of the field and to be decisive. Vanderson is a talented and ambitious young player, who made the choice of Monaco despite the interest of several top clubs. We are convinced that he will find here the ideal environment to allow him to express his potential while having added value to a competitive group. Welcome him! “
