Toulouse: A home chef for New Year’s Eve on the 31st
What if for New Year’s Eve, you called in a chef at home. A demand that is increasingly understood, particularly in this period of health crisis. Laurent Salvador explains everything to you.
Laurent Salvador is delighted. This year, this home chef has accumulated requests for meals. Especially for New Year’s Eve. A situation linked of course to the pandemic and the fear for at-risk customers in particular, of going to a restaurant. “I started in this sector in 2015,” explains this former Air France engineer, who also went through the management of the kitchens of a Parisian theater. The La Belle Assiette website (https://labelleassiette.fr/laurent-salvador) has 700 chefs in various countries, including eight in Haute-Garonne ”.
For the December 31 menu, Laurent will cook at private homes in Saint-Génies-Bellevue: “A festive menu for six people, composed according to their request with tasty dishes: scallops, lobster sea bream, etc. accompanied by truffles ”.
One activity is perfect for this chef who has visited various restaurants in Toulouse: “I enjoy cooking my own food and being in agreement with customers since the selection was made in concert,” he admits. Getting out of my kitchen is also an advantage, as is having an immediate result in terms of whether or not customers are satisfied with my dishes ”. For her part, Cathy, who for the first time used this service, seems delighted: “We have a person at risk and have preferred to avoid the restaurant. Everything will seem simpler to me in this formula. We are at home, cozy and in more, choose the wines of our cellar. A rhythm different from that of the restaurant “.
Prices: € 39 with three services, € 55 with 4 services and € 85, with five services.
