ON-LINE: 6145 new infections have been added, the darkest is Prague
7:08 – In Germany there were 42,770 new cases of coronavirus infection and 383 deaths in the past day. One week earlier, 44,927 were newly infected and the number of covid-19-related deaths was 425, the DPA reported today, referring to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI).
6:28 – The incident number replacing the number of infected per week per 100 thousand inhabitants dropped to 323, a week ago it was 338. It has been falling for three weeks.
The darkest is on the coronavirus map of Prague with 393 cases per 100,000 inhabitants per week, the lowest incidence is in the Karlovy Vary region with 196 cases.

6:13 – In the Czech Republic, tests confirmed a total of 2,469,951 cases of new coronavirus infection, of which 36,061 died. So far, 35 deaths have been reported for Wednesday, but the figure will be added. In the last seven days, the daily death toll has ranged from 56 to 74.
6:02 – On Wednesday, there were 6,145 confirmed cases of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection in the Czech Republic, which was a fifth less than a week ago, when there were 7689. This is the lowest increase on a weekday since October 29.
5:59 – 3363 people are currently hospitalized with covid-19 in the Czech Republic, of which 637 were in serious condition. In a week, the number of hospitalized a few quarters.

5:10 – The Under-20 World Hockey Championships in Canada will not be completed. The International Hockey Federation canceled the tournament on Wednesday due to fears of further coronavirus spread. After a smooth start to the championship, the directorate had to intervene in the last two days due to the occurrence of coronavirus infection in three teams. The match of the Czech team against Finland was also counted.
5:00 – The world is now threatened by coronavirus infections due to omicron and delta “tsunami cases,” said World Health Organization (WHO) chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. According to the WHO, more than a million new cases of infection could soon be added worldwide. The organization believes that the acute phase of the pandemic could end next year if at least 70 percent of the world’s population can be vaccinated.
