Does the SGE strike? Eintracht Frankfurt is hot for Jürgen Klopp’s players
Eintracht Frankfurt is looking for reinforcements and could find what they are looking for at the English top club Liverpool FC.

One position that Eintracht Frankfurt needs is that of central defender. Especially if Evan Ndicka really does leave the club next summer. A new addition would have six months to get used to the Main. But even if Ndicka were to stay at Eintracht Frankfurt, a reinforcement in the central defense would make sense, especially because the position at the SGE is relatively thin.
Eintracht Frankfurt interested in Nathaniel Phillips?
As reported by the Bild newspaper, Nathaniel Phillips is a candidate for Eintracht Frankfurt. The defender of Liverpool FC was already under contract in Germany when he played for VfB Stuttgart in the 2nd Bundesliga. Philipps went through the youth department of Bolton Wanderers and changed in 2016 to the U23 of Liverpool FC. Since he had no chance at the professional team, the English top club loaned him to VfB Stuttgart, where he should collect match practice.
After his return, the now 24-year-old made it into the squad of Jürgen Klopp’s team, but initially remained in short supply. It wasn’t until the end of last season that the central defender suddenly found himself in the starting line-up.
Eintracht Frankfurt: Philipps could strengthen central defense
A move last summer is therefore out of the question, but Nathaniel Phillips is completely left out this season. He was not used in the Premier League once and was even only in the stands for the majority of the games. Only on the last match day of the group stage in the Champions League, when there was nothing left to do for Liverpool, Jürgen Klopp ordered him into the starting line-up.
A change in winter, but in summer, is likely. Liverpool FC will not put any obstacles in the way of Nathaniel Phillips. His contract, which he only extended a few months ago, runs until June 30, 2025. If he switched, he would have to forego money. A loan in which the receiving club does not pay the full salary would also come into question. In any case, the 24-year-old could be a reinforcement for Eintracht Frankfurt.
Meanwhile, Eintracht Frankfurt has the next new addition on the line. A French international is expected to come to the Main in winter. In addition, the SGE apparently has a great talent from Denmark in its sights. (smr)
