A 56-year-old man is suspected of having raped and prostituted his partner for fifteen years. He was arrested in Dourges (Pas-de-Calais) on December 27, near Lens.

The victim fled from his home. She went to the police station to denounce the violence suffered, reports The voice of the North.

She says she met her partner when she was 13. At the time, she was regularly raped by her stepfather, and fled her family by entering into a relationship with a 38-year-old man.

This one incited her to prostitute herself. She initially accepted before changing her mind, but her companion would have forced her to continue for more than fifteen years. He also allegedly raped her several times.

The children were also reportedly subjected to violence

According to the victim, her two children, aged 6 and 13, were also subjected to violence at the hands of their father.

The fifty-year-old totally denied the facts during his custody. But information found in his cell phone and witness interviews confirm the victim’s account, according to The voice of the North.

A judicial investigation was opened and the suspect was placed in pre-trial detention.
